Position Description:

Transatlantic Reinsurance Company, a leading international reinsurance organization, is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst within its Systems department for its New York location.

Primary Programmer Analyst responsibilities include providing day to day technical support to the development team on a variety of corporate projects, as well as creating and enhancing PowerBuilder, JAVA and other web-based applications.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee distribution of key deliverables throughout the project life cycle, including gathering and analyzing requirements, researching ideas and new technologies, design and implementation
• Work with other developers and network group to deploy reliable applications
• Produce user guide and system documentation

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Candidate must possess strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• Candidate must be a team player and able to work effectively with limited supervision
• 2+ years experience working with PowerBuilder
• Working knowledge of the following applications:
  o JAVA, HTML, JavaScript and JSP
  o Relational Database, SQL, and Unix scripting
  o .NET technology and Microsoft SharePoint experience a plus
