Position Description:

Transatlantic Reinsurance Company, a leading international reinsurance organization, is currently seeking a Reinsurance Account Analyst for its Accounting department, in its New York location.

Account Analyst position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Under the direction of the team leader, assist with analyzing and processing broker owned treaty accounts, consisting of premiums, commissions and losses
  
• Insure accounts received are consistent with underwriting abstracts, and secure missing accounts and invoices from brokers/cedents
  
• Assist with reinsurance cash applications and clearing aged reinsurance balances
  
• Responsible for filing and preparing journal vouchers and reconciling accounts
  
• Responsible for electronic filing (DMS) of reinsurance accounts and documents in reinsurance system (TIRS)
  
• Run management reports and adhoc queries. Assist with special projects upon request.
  
• May assist in preparation of quarterly and annual statement pages

Position Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree
• Candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills
  
• Knowledge of accounting terminology, concepts, practices and procedures
  
• P.C. knowledge, including Excel and other MS office software
