On December 6, 2017, TransRe celebrated 40 years of success and prosperity at the regal Gotham Hall in New York City. This very special ceremony hosted by current CEO Mike Sapnar, commemorated TransRe‘s history as the first choice provider of reinsurance to our clients worldwide. The spirited and joyous occasion welcomed over 800 guests from all over the world, including past and present employees, spouses and clients to participate in the festivities and to receive recognition for their contribution to the success of TransRe.
The night featured live music, as well as a memorable DJ set from Questlove. Mike Sapnar (TransRe’s current and 6th CEO), Bob Orlich (TransRe’s 5th CEO) and Weston Hicks (President CEO of Alleghany) talked about the many years of hard work and dedication shown by TransRe employees. They elaborated on the many challenges the company faced and highlighted critical market events TransRe was able to withstand. Mike concluded with a passionate speech and song that challenged us all to be thankful for the moment but not to lose sight of TransRe’s overarching goals. He inspired everyone to leave the unforgettable evening rejuvenated and focus on being the best as we move on to the next chapter of our history as members of the TransRe family.
